Walardi campground is within the Purnululu National Park World-Heritage Area (also known as the Bungle Bungles), and close to Cathedral Gorge. This campground can only be accessed by 4WD vehicles. High-clearance, single-axle, towable units are only permitted due to the road-conditions (dual-axle towable units are not allowed).
The campground can cater for up-to 70 vehicles.
Picnic tables are provided at some sites and fire-rings are present, mainly in group areas. Toilets are provided.
There are generator and non-generator areas within the campground. Light fires only in fireplaces provided. Preferably use your own portable-gas or fuel-stove.
Collecting wood in the national park is not allowed. Limited wood is provided for cooking. Please do not bring your own as it can spread weed-seed and plant disease that can kill native flora.
Walardi is closed for the Kimberley wet season. The best time to visit is from April to mid-October. The visitor centre is open daily from early April to mid-November, (dependant on seasonal conditions).
Vehicle entry-pass applies separately to camping fees. Park passes can be purchased online. There is a 24-hour self-registration station available.
